Customize your Smile
New Year, New You, New Smile! Did you know within two weeks you can change your smile? Do something for yourself this year and invest in your smile. It’s proven that a smile can build self esteem and foster a positive attitude. Veneers are beautifully crafted, custom-made porcelain that restore crooked, malformed, or damaged teeth, allowing for a balanced, enhanced and unique smile while restoring strength and functionality. Placement of such small, porcelain materials takes much skill, precision and artistry of a well trained cosmetic dentist, like Frankel Dentistry.

Are you interested in veneers? Here’s what to expect:
In just three short appointments with Frankel Dentistry, you will have your new smile. First, you will come into the office for consultation. Here, the Frankel Dentistry staff will discuss the different options available to you. We will also take x-rays and go over a treatment plan. Cosmetic digital imaging is also provided to aid you in your decision making process.
Next, during your second visit, Frankel Dentistry will prepare your teeth by filing off about a 1/2 millimeter of enamel. To avoid the minimal discomfort, you will be given a local anesthetic. Then impressions will be made, allowing us to send them off to our artists who will customize your new, beautiful smile. Finally, the Frankel Dentistry staff will place temporary veneers over your teeth.
Once your veneers are made, you will come in for a final appointment. Here, the staff at Frankel Dentistry will trim and adjust them to fit your smile. Next, they will clean and polish each tooth, allowing the bonding to stick to your teeth. Then, each shell is secured to your teeth with cement. Once finished, the Frankel Dentistry team will review the care process and you are free to leave with your new smile
New year, new you, new resolutions — everyone always says they want to eat healthier and kids shouldn’t be an exception. When kids eat healthier, they feel better and have more energy to be a kid. Healthy eating habits are also beneficial for successful oral health. Healthy foods contain the essential vitamins and nutrients kids need to grow. Parents and caregivers need to create an atmosphere where healthy foods are the first choice and junk foods are consumed in moderation.
Here are 5 ways to help your kids eat healthier foods and less junk food:
1. Stock your pantry with healthy snack choices and avoid buying snacks that are void of nutrients and full of sugar such as fruit snacks. Encourage children to choose fruits if they have a sweet tooth — try a smoothie!
2. Bake more often — there are so many recipes out there that contain fruits and vegetables that are kid-approved. Instead of breakfast pastries, try homemade muffins with oatmeal and fruit!
3. Limit TV – there are a lot of commercials that promote fast food meals and candy. Spend time together playing games or outside.
4. Create a family meal plan together — have your children help you plan your meals. Download this example
5. Eat together — eating meals together helps families stay united. Celebrate with healthy snacks like fruit yogurt vs. chocolate sundaes.
