  1. Since 2005, when the Toledo Free Press named Norm Wamer the 9th most influential person in Toledo sports, he has not let us down. Today, Norm Wamer is the staple of Toledo sports radio, broadcasting weekdays on 106.5 The Ticket’s “Front Row” and covering local high school and professional sports events in his spare time. A graduate of Lake High School and the University of Toledo, Norm also calls Jon Frankel Dentistry home.

We are proud of our dental families’ accomplishments, especially Norm’s. Most people don’t know that Norm has another side to his sporting talent. He also announces for Toledo’s NWA PCW Wrestling. His enthusiasm excites us all. Check him out as he wrestles NWA photographer, Scott Romer, in the video below.

  2. Research has shown over and over again that a Healthy Mouth promotes a Healthy Body but how do you get Dad to the Dentist? The Staff at Toledo, Ohio dentist, Jon Frankel’s office have five great suggestions.

    • Schedule a dental appointment for a grandchild. Have Granddad take the well informed, enthusiastic patient. Young patients often show the way for hesitant adults. We have seen several Grandparents who came in at a suggestion from their grandkids.

    • Remind your Dad to use his well earned insurance benefits before retirement. We hear regrets about lost benefits daily.

    • Have a serious conversation if you suspect dental disease. Health disease, stroke, diabetes, pancreatic cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease have a strong correlation to dental and oral health. It may be a difficult chat but a healthy mouth promotes a healthy body.

    • Give Dad a gift certificate to see his dentist. Often scheduling the first visit is all it takes to motivate patients to revive healthy habits.

    • Remind Dads who snore that dentists offer an oral appliance that prevents snoring. You will all sleep better knowing your Father’s oral health is in check and his snoring has subsided.

In turn, the technicians at Grabke’s set the standard in attention to detail and artistry. Open dialog between Janette and Steve and their staff is welcomed. Communication builds understanding, loyalty and the perfection that defines the body shop.

It makes perfect sense; Janette and Steve choose Jon Frankel Dentistry for dental and oral care. Their philosophies mirror one another.

  5. “I love coming here. When is my next appointment?” comments Irene, patient at Toledo Dentist, Jon Frankel. The Dentists and Dental Staff at both Toledo and Maumee, Ohio locations will tell you it is not uncommon to hear similar comments.

    Ugly Holiday Sweaters

The guests at Jon Frankel Dentistry notice something just a little different. It is fun to visit these Toledo area dental offices. The Dentists and Dental Staff genuinely enjoy each other and their patients. This is evident in a recent office Holiday Gathering at Mancy’s Italian Restaurant.

Dr. Amber Puhl and Dr. Jon Frankel were impressive in Holiday Sweaters.

  6. Jason DiTerlizzi and Brittany Begin

Jason Di Terlizzi has recently been accepted into two dental schools, Indiana University School of Dentistry and Case School of Dental Medicine – Care Western Reserve University. Which isn’t at all surprising to the staff working with him at Jon Frankel Dentistry and Frankel and Puhl of Maumee. Jason is vital to both offices practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist and Expanded Function Dental Assistant. Additionally, Frankel Dentistry has a history of “keeping it in the family”.

Sheldon Frankel, DDS began practicing dentistry in 1947. His son Jon Frankel, DDS joined him in 1992. Dr. Sheldon Frankel has since retired but a brother-in-law and two nephews are dentists, his daughter and a sister-law are hygienists. Associate Dentist Richard Shumate is married to a dentist, Dr. Kristen Shumate. Patti Begin, RDH from the Maumee location also has been an inspiration to Jason, he dates her daughter Brittany. There is undoubtedly a trend here.

Jon Frankel Dentistry is a nurturing and caring dental family for patients and staff located in Toledo, Ohio and Maumee, Ohio.

  8.

Toledo, Ohio has secrets. A quiet, Midwestern Town that seems lost in a deep sleep… slumbers with abounding talent. It is not just a dream and no longer a secret.

Vocalist Chloey Wilburn is real and vibrant and the girl can sing her heart out.

Oh.. and by the way…the dentist behind that smile is Jon Frankel!

  9. Last year when one of Dr. Frankel’s patients mentioned a local Christian Rock band, Sanctus Real, had been nominated for Best Contemporary/Pop Gospel Album (Pieces of a Real Heart),  but needed sponsors for The Grammy Awards Ceremony he did not hesitate to help out. The entire band is “Toledo-Grown”.  Supporting Toledo comes easy for Dr. Frankel as he and his father Sheldon have been a strong presence in Toledo’s Dental Community for over 65 years.

The lead singer and guitarist Matt Hammitt is generously sharing songs originally inspired by his son, Bowen, and a very personal experience. Giving comes natural to Matt. Toledo’s greatest treasures are her citizens, who are willing to give of themselves.
