Senior Lourdes University volleyball player and Springfield native, Keyonna Gregory, was recently selected to participate in the Team AIST America- Dominican Republic TourĀ in June of 2015. This tour will be made up of elite collegiate athletes that coaches specially invite to represent the USA and compete internationally.
Keyonna originally began her athletic career as a basketball player, but during her sophomore year of high school decided to give volleyball a try and has never looked back. “I just love the game so much and I can’t wait to see where my future takes me,” she said. This past season, Keyonna was selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region Team as well as First-Team All-Conference.
Growing up in Northwest Ohio, Keyonna loves being close to home and her family, but she is looking forward to spreading her wings. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I am so excited,” she said.
Keyonna was quick to tell us that she will be home a few times a year and plans to visit Dr. Frankel for her routine cleanings and exams. “Dr. Frankel has been the only dentist I have ever known,” she said. “I trust him with my teeth and smile. He really is the best.”
We would like to wish Keyonna and the entire Lourdes University Volleyball team the best of luck as they prepare for their upcoming season. Go Gray Wolves!
If you would like to make a small donation to Keyonna as she prepares to take her skills to the next level and represent USA, please contact our Toledo office and we will give you further details. On behalf of Keyonna, “Thank You in advance.”
