  1. Sweet summer sun, smiles, and sangria! On Friday April 29th Frankel Dentistry and Frankel and Puhl Dentistry met in one of their favorite places to celebrate a quarter of growth and ownership mindsets! Majestic Oaks is a locally owned winery who offers delicious, fresh beers, wines, and sangrias! Our teams first visited Majestic Oak last summer and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, beauty, and sangria flights!

This year Drs. Frankel and Puhl treated us to another beautiful day at the winery to spend time out of office with the ones we love to change lives with. This was a chance to meet the newest doctors to join our practice, and fresh, fun front and clinical employees!

Find a workplace you love! Both the Toledo and Maumee offices are home to dozens of friendships. As we continue to grow and intermix with one another we build even more relationships and friendships through our careers and passion. Changing lives is even more meaningful when you work with people you love. We are grateful to come together and creating lasting memories like these.

As a 100% employee owned practice, taking time to build culture and meet our fellow owners is important to us. We all  work together as a team not only to create positive experiences for patients and serve our community, but to build our practice!

A special thank you to the amazing Toledo local photographer Kurt Nielson for taking the time to come out and capture the friendship behind Changing Lives, Majestic Oak Winery for allowing our practice to take over your beautiful grounds, and Lulu Fare for amazing snacks and sweets.

Always Better. Serve All. Gratitude. Encouragement. Trust. Owner Mindset!

Like to know Mary better? Check out her fast five question responses.

Why did you choose your career?

While in high school I knew I wanted something in the health field. Once I was introduced to dentistry I knew it was my passion.

Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?

I adore arts & crafts. My oldest is graduating from high school this year and my youngest is a freshman. I am really going to miss the school projects. According to my family I am a interior and exterior house painter extraordinaire. It just puts me in the zone!

    Dream vacation?

It is always a cruise. It is only way to contain me! My favorite so far has been the Bahamas.

    Favorite leisure activity?

I love motorcycle riding with my husband. Summer weekends you’ll find Mary with her hubby on the back of his Harley.

What is the one thing you can’t live without?

    Don’t touch my dark chocolate!

  3. Core Values Winner and Billboard Star!

Looking who is gracing our Toledo location! She is usually at our Maumee location but today she is ours. Hillary is a dental hygienist, expanded function dental auxiliary powerhouse. Her cross fit videos of dead weight lifts are flat out amazing! Fortunately for us, her dental skills are even more impressive.

    Ten Years!

Hillary has been with Frankel Dentistry for 10 years. She is a Core Values Award winner. Her work ethic is incredible. She is innately talented while driven to excel. Patients and staff alike love Hillary. We know are all better because Hillary is in our lives.

  4. Being located only a mile South from the state line and beautiful Michigan farm lands, Frankel Dentistry is no stranger to farmers and their families. However, this chilly December afternoon, we had a visitor we’ve never seen before.

It was a calm day in the office just like any other. Our front desk receptionist welcomed patients as something odd caught her eye. “Maybe, I’m just seeing things” she thought to herself, when once again a red flash dashed across the glass office door.

A comedy ensued. The patient had no idea her rooster had hijacked a ride with her to Frankel Dentistry. Once alerted, an event mirroring the keystone cops of yesteryear began. The escapee rooster’s owner, Dr. Greiss, Madison, and Megan were zigzagging across the parking lot. The clever bird had the edge for longer than one might hope. Eventually cornered and corralled, the rooster was defeated but safe. The now seasoned dentist, hygienist, assistant, and patient returned to changing lives a smile at a time through dentistry.

Frankel Dentistry has offered the best dental experience for 75 years. It is easy to see why they have been awarded the Best of Toledo Dental by the readers of City Paper for 11 years. They are more than dental professionals. They are family, friends, and when needed farmers.

  5. Gratitude Always. It has been quite a year for Frankel Dentistry. We have watched our spirits, team, and leadership grow immensely. With gratitude being one of our Core Values, we find it even more imperative to express gratitude for the big and small during this season.

One thing we can always be thankful for is our team.

Not only do we have the best patients, but the best team.

    Employee Highlight

    Collin and Lindsay

    Collin and Lindsay

Lindsay Stanley is great at everything she does according to guy-friend Collin. We agree. She is an amazing Dental Hygienist, was quickly promoted to a Co-Team Leader position and working toward licensure as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant.

Lindsay loves to make a difference in patients’ lives. Showing a patient with dental anxiety there is nothing to fear or bringing a neglected unhealthy mouth to full repair are hallmarks of Lindsay’s innate talent and skill. Her patients look forward to visits and often bring her gifts! She has helped many patients regain not just their confidence but their dental health.

Always attracted to a medical career she credits her orthodontist for introducing her to dentistry. She readily admits she is obsessed with teeth and we are thrilled she is.

In an age when marriages seem to have a past due date, it is refreshing and inspiring to know that love can last. Today,  Frankel Dentistry’s founding father, Dr. Sheldon Frankel, and his wife, Ervine, celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary.

Married on this date in 1944 in Toledo, their four children, Karen Kearns, Barbara  Frankel- Wexler, Rabbi Jerry Frankel, and Dr. Jon Frankel are a testament to a beautiful union.

After seven decades of marriage, Ervine references her handsome husband and his once full head of beautiful red hair to which he replies, “I love you, Ervine.” Of course she responds, “I love you too, Shelly.”

The Frankel Dentistry team would like to congratulate Dr. Sheldon and Ervine on this milestone. Thank you for being an inspiration to many. Happy Anniversary!
