  1. Teeth seem to be getting whiter and whiter. A beautiful bright smile is attractive. There are several at home teeth whitening products. We asked our dental professionals and patients. These are a few of their favorites.

    Brighter Smiles with Teeth Whitening!

Brighten your smile with teeth whitening!

Both the patients and the dental professionals stressed seeing your dentist first. Dental diseases such as swollen bleeding gums and decay need to be addressed before whitening teeth.

The best option according to those we asked is custom whitening trays. They fit well and therefore the gel is neatly placed around the teeth. Some dental offices offer whitening for life. Once the initial trays are made and tubes of whitening gel purchased patients receive an additional tube of whitening at each dental hygiene visit.

Another favorite was Crest 3D Whitestrips. They are not custom-made but are convenient and easily accessible.

Opalescence Go is offered at many dental practices as a complimentary gift for new patients after they have completed necessary treatment. Once again, it is not a custom fit but comes in different strengths and is designed to be used 10-15 days for maximum results.

Demonstration and steps regarding how to use Opalescence Go whitening.

Colgate Optic Toothpaste and Opalescence Whitening toothpaste come up as preferred whitening toothpastes.

It is important to note that while these products can be effective, it is essential to consult with a dentist before starting any whitening treatment.

  3. Did you know 69% of American adults are missing at least one tooth? Losing an adult tooth can be devastating, not only does it affect your mental health but your physical health as well. Missing teeth can lead to gum disease, bone loss, and more missing teeth.

    Looking for a solution?

Dental implants and implant supported dentures are the best and most permanent way to replace missing teeth. Frankel Dentistry offers partial and full dentures, placed with a titanium root which can be just as strong as your original teeth. This helps prevent bone loss and build confidence in your smile.

The beauty of implant supported dentures at Frankel Dentistry, is the procedure is done in house. We take a 3D scan that allows us to place the implant virtually, in the perfect spot. Once the dental image of the implant is created we can create a guide. The guide allows the implant supported dentures to be quickly and precisely placed.

Within three to four months, the implant or implants will fuse to the bone, and the implant crown, tooth, or dentures can be placed.

Fixed implants preserve the bone and maintain facial features, patients are able to talk, chew, and smile just as before with their natural teeth. Only your dental professional will be able to detect your dentures. If you maintain proper care and stay up to date with you recare appointments your implant dentures can last a lifetime.

  5. Dental Implants

Losing an adult tooth due to decay, gum disease, or injury can be upsetting. The thought of wearing a partial denture is an unwelcome life-style change.

A permanent dental bridge compromises the health of the adjacent teeth.

Fortunately,  the art and science of dentistry has come to the rescue.

    Dental Implant

Dental implants are as close as it gets to natural teeth. A titanium root is fused to the bone of your jaw. Once fixed in place an attachment is placed. A crown looking just like your original tooth ( and sometimes better) is cemented to the attachment.

  7. Jonathan Frankel, DDS

Toledo Dentist replaces what is missing! Dr. Jonathan Frankel shares information on Dental Implants.

At Frankel Dentistry, we find it is very important to educate patients with the latest and greatest dental procedures. Dental Implants are a great solution for patients who have lost teeth.  Missing teeth can lead to gum disease, bone loss, and the risk of losing more teeth.  Dr. Frankel and team are here to help educate our community about their dental options.

What are dental implants? Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are placed into your jaw. These metal roots hold the replacement tooth.

What are the advantages of dental implants? Having a full set of teeth can help improve appearance, self esteem, speech and make eating easier and enjoyable.

Am I a good candidate for dental implants? Schedule an appointment for a free consultation to discuss what is best for you. We’d be happy to talk over your options so you can have your best smile.

What are my next steps? At Frankel Dentistry, we take a 3D scan to evaluate the area. Then the staff virtually places the implant in the image. Another scan is taken and sent to Germany where a guide is made. The guide allows the implant to be quickly and precisely place. The bone will fuse to the implant, creating a secure foundation for your new tooth. Healing times may vary, but once this process is complete, a permanent crown will be placed on the implant or a denture will be secured and anchored by strategically placed implant posts.

  9. Three Top Reasons

    To

Replace Missing Teeth with Dental Implants

    Looking Great!

    Looking Great!

    Save supporting bone.

Once a tooth is lost the supporting bone begins to melt away. Dental Implants not only replace missing teeth and allow one to chew well and speak clearly; they keep the jaw bone solid.

    Save face.

Replacing missing teeth with dental implants keeps your smile youthful. Lost teeth can lead to sunken cheeks and down-turned smiles. Implants leave you smiling.

    Save time.

Dental implants are a proven long term replacement for missing teeth. There is a 97 percent success rate. They are easy to maintain. You brush and floss an implant just as you would your natural teeth. Dental bridges replace missing teeth but are more of a challenge to keep clean and often need to be replaced after ten to twenty years.
