Jon Frankel Dentistry

  1. Did you know 69% of American adults are missing at least one tooth? Losing an adult tooth can be devastating, not only does it affect your mental health but your physical health as well. Missing teeth can lead to gum disease, bone loss, and more missing teeth.

    Looking for a solution?

Dental implants and implant supported dentures are the best and most permanent way to replace missing teeth. Frankel Dentistry offers partial and full dentures, placed with a titanium root which can be just as strong as your original teeth. This helps prevent bone loss and build confidence in your smile.

The beauty of implant supported dentures at Frankel Dentistry, is the procedure is done in house. We take a 3D scan that allows us to place the implant virtually, in the perfect spot. Once the dental image of the implant is created we can create a guide. The guide allows the implant supported dentures to be quickly and precisely placed.

Within three to four months, the implant or implants will fuse to the bone, and the implant crown, tooth, or dentures can be placed.

  1. Toledo, Ohio is home of the first 100% employee-owned dental practice in the United States. The doctors, healthcare workers, and staff at Frankel Dentistry are upbeat, fun, and professional. How did these innovative folks decide on careers in dentistry?

Dr. Frankel is a natural. His father was a dentist, his sister and aunt are dental hygienists, an uncle and two cousins are dentists, and his daughter is in dental school at NOVA. If vocation can be inherited, this is a case in point. Dr. Frankel seems born to be a dentist.

    Jon Frankel, DDS

Natalie matriculated in a program to become a sonographer. She knew she wanted to be in the medical field. Her sister works in a dental office. People kept asking her if she was in the dental hygiene program since she had such an amazing smile. She took it as a sign and switched programs. She has been at Frankel Dentistry for 12 years. People still mention her beautiful smile!

Currently she is the integrator at the Maumee location. According to Angie, “It has been the best thing ever. I would never work anywhere else.”

  1. February is American Heart Month. The dentists, healthcare providers, and staff at Frankel Dentistry have seen the correlation between a healthy mouth and a healthy body.

Patients are advised to brush and floss daily, see their dentist regularly, take care of small dental issues before they become big problems.

Visits are made easy with two locations, evening and Saturday hours, online scheduling, and more.

Patients are surprised with unannounced patient appreciation days. This year heart-shaped stress relief balls were gifted for Valentine’s Day.

Does your dentist give you presents?

Frankel Dentistry is 100% employee-owned. It shows. The two locations are abuzz with heartfelt caring and smiles. They truly are changing lives a smile at a time.

  1. It is National Children’s Dental Health Month. https://www.aapd.org/about/about-aapd/news-room/latest-news/a-national-childrens-dental-health-month-letter-from-aapd-president-dr.-donly/

The doctors, healthcare providers, and staff at Frankel Dentistry celebrate parents who bring in their children as soon as the first tooth pops through and continue every six months.

Children coming in early for dental visits enjoy improved dental health. We make it fun at Frankel Dentistry. For a quick child’s eye-view check this video of our office. You will be in good company. It has over nine million views!

Kids love visiting our office because we make it fun. Parents can make dental home care fun by letting children select their toothbrushes, teaching them to brush, and brushing with them. There are several toothbrushing songs/videos to keep children brushing for a full two minutes.

Another great way to motivate your young tooth brusher is charting daily brushing. The folks at Frankel Dentistry created a chart for you to print out.

Remember, it takes 90 days to develop a new habit.

  1. Happy Twenty Twenty-Tooth! The new year is here and our team is back in the office changing lives a smile at a time! As we prepare to take on the year ahead, we like to come back to where it all started with our core values. Always Better, Serve All, and G.E.T, gratitude, encouragement, and thankfulness.

After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to make a slight change. Thankfulness is now trust.

Frankel Dentistry is built on trust. Patients’ trust in us and our trust in one another.

Our last 75 years of dedication to the Toledo and Maumee community would not be possible without patients’ belief in us. Studies have shown trust in healthcare providers is linked to improved patient experience and health outcomes. Ultimately we are here to create the best dental care experience for everyone who walks into our office. When it comes to teamwork, trust often provides greater successes and growth both personally and professionally. Our practice is grateful to work with healthcare providers, doctors, and staff who make us feel encouraged and trusted.

Frankel Dentistry is looking forward to 2022 being filled with gratitude, encouragement, and trust. Thank you Toledo for placing your trust in us.

  1. Being located only a mile South from the state line and beautiful Michigan farm lands, Frankel Dentistry is no stranger to farmers and their families. However, this chilly December afternoon, we had a visitor we’ve never seen before.

It was a calm day in the office just like any other. Our front desk receptionist welcomed patients as something odd caught her eye. “Maybe, I’m just seeing things” she thought to herself, when once again a red flash dashed across the glass office door.

A comedy ensued. The patient had no idea her rooster had hijacked a ride with her to Frankel Dentistry. Once alerted, an event mirroring the keystone cops of yesteryear began. The escapee rooster’s owner, Dr. Greiss, Madison, and Megan were zigzagging across the parking lot. The clever bird had the edge for longer than one might hope. Eventually cornered and corralled, the rooster was defeated but safe. The now seasoned dentist, hygienist, assistant, and patient returned to changing lives a smile at a time through dentistry.

Frankel Dentistry has offered the best dental experience for 75 years. It is easy to see why they have been awarded the Best of Toledo Dental by the readers of City Paper for 11 years. They are more than dental professionals. They are family, friends, and when needed farmers.

  1. Tis the season!

Giving Tuesday is a newer holiday that originated in 2012 to encourage people to do good.

This holiday falls on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday is the kick off for the giving season!

As you know, Frankel Dentistry loves spirit days. Meaningful spirit days are even more remarkable! This year our office participated in CrazZzy Sock Day to kick off our gifting season. Giving back to the community is especially magical during the holidays. All December we will be collecting new, unused socks to be donated to a local non-profit here in Northwest Ohio!

Hannah’s Socks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to donate socks to the less fortunate in homeless and domestic violence shelters. Did you know that socks and undergarments are the most needed, yet least donated items? Together we can make a difference.

We have been changing lives a smile at a time since 1946. We want to continue to serve through beautiful smiles and warm toes! Supporting local and giving back to those in need has always been important to us. We are grateful to come together and serve all in our community in a variety of ways.

You can learn more about the Hannahs Socks mission at https://www.hannahssocks.org/

  1. Gratitude Always. It has been quite a year for Frankel Dentistry. We have watched our spirits, team, and leadership grow immensely. With gratitude being one of our Core Values, we find it even more imperative to express gratitude for the big and small during this season.

One thing we can always be thankful for is our team.

Not only do we have the best patients, but the best team.

May Frankel Family and Children Photoshoot

A positive workplace encourages productivity and inspires drive in all individuals. I’d love to thank our team for being focused on their goals, providing the best patient care, exercising strong communication, and always going above and beyond in their department as well as others.

We are grateful to build and grow with a driven, dedicated, and passionate team. Changing Lives a Smile at a Time is even more meaningful with people who uplift you and push us to be the best! So to all of our Frankel Dentistry teams -thank you, we are grateful for each and everyone of you.💙  Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
